Do Telugu CMs Have Guts To Follow Bihar CM?

Update: 2023-02-23 20:16 GMT
Telugu states would be exempted from the Southern states that give importance to the mother tongue. No words can describe the importance Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka gives to their respective mother tongues. Though they respect English, they don’t give too much importance to English as we do. They prefer talking in their mother tongue when they see people from their region.

But the same is not the case for people from Telugu states. They feel it less to speak in their mother tongue and try to show their level by speaking in English. Though there is an opinion that the trend is not good, no one is bothered about this from celebrities to common people. We get a feel of how good it would be if the Chief Ministers of Telugu states do the same looking at the way Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar behaved a few days back.

An agriculture sector-related event was held in Bihar's capital city Patna. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar attended the event. Young farmer Amith Kumar started talking in English. He showered massive praises on the CM. But Nitish Kumar interrupted his speech and asked what he is speaking in English as he is not in England.

Not just that, the Chief Minister asked if the young farmer cannot use the term Sarkari Yojana in the place of government schemes? Saying that he studied Engineering in English, Nitish Kumar asked what is the need to use English for day-to-day activities. This shocked the young farmer.

Reminding everyone that people got addicted to smartphones due to the lockdown, he took a dig at them and said that they have forgotten their mother tongues too. Though many supported the Chief Minister, a few said that he feels jealous if someone speaks in English. However, finding fault for not speaking in the mother tongue is appreciable and the Bihar CM should be appreciated.
