Ex-Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi Admitted To Hospital!

Veteran politician Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the famous Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the national capital Delhi due to ill health. The former Congress party President is 76. A team of doctors attended to her. Sonia Gandhi was admitted on Thursday and a few tests were done for her at the facility reportedly.

The Congress supporters need not worry about her condition as the hospital said that there is nothing serious and she is under the observation of doctors. In a statement, the hospital said the same.

It is said that she was taken to the hospital due to a fever. However, there is no information on the reason behind the fever. Sonia Gandhi is under observation and she is taking food. Her situation is stable as per the information. Senior Consultant of Chest Medicine Dr. Arup Basu is observing her.

It is said that Sonia Gandhi is talking to others and she is not admitted to the Intensive care unit(ICU). This was the second time she was taken to a hospital in recent times. A couple of months back she was admitted to a hospital with a respiratory infection.

Recently, the former Congress chief hinted at her retirement from politics. At the Congress plenary meeting recently, Sonia Gandhi said that her innings might be concluded with Bharat Jodo Yatra and she is happy with that.

She is one of the tallest leaders in Indian politics. In her career, she led the grand old Congress party for a few decades. However, Congress is struggling since the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and Mallikarjun Kharge was made the party chief.
