After reporting fewer Covid cases for two consecutive days, the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad witnessed a big jump in the number of fresh cases in the past 24 hours.
The number mentioned by the state health department says that Hyderabad and other regions that fall under the purview of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) reported a growth of around 45 percent in the past 24 hours.
GHMC reported 102 fresh Covid infections in the GHMC area. After July, the GHMC area reported over 100 new cases. The other day, 70 cases were reported in the GHMC area.
This is an area of big concern as the festival season is coming. People should be more careful and the Covid guard should not be let down.
On the other hand, the fresh cases saw a rise in the new infections as the offices started to work normally. One more thing to worry is that, the educational institutions across Telangana will be reopened from the first week of September.
The number of casualties caused by the novel Coronavirus in Telangana is inching towards the 4,000 mark with 3,864, after two people breathed their last battling the virus.
