Awareness, without doubt, is key to fighting the deadly Covid virus. A Vizag woman has shown how to face the Covid and help her family members tide over the biggest health challenge. According to sources in Vizag, a woman, who found that both her parents were Covid positive, has shown lot of guts and bravery to face the situation.
The woman, whose name is not revealed to the media for obvious reasons, has converted two rooms in her house into Corona wards. She had arranged for oxygen cylinders and masks. She has also arranged for an oxymetre and a thermal gun to test the oxygen levels and the body temperature of her parents.
Her mother, who suffered from multiple ailments, was wheelchair bound. The woman kept her dad and mom in separate rooms and fully quarantined them. She spent most time with her parents to instil confidence in them. She continuously checked their oxygen levels, which at one time fell down to 79. She also provided PPE kits to her domestic helps, who came through separate entry points worked and went away. They were prevented from coming in contact with the parents.
Thus, for the last fortnight, she managed both the parents. During this time, she herself tested positive, but using the tele-help provided by a medical facility, she too fought against the virus. All the three have now tested negative. She said she resorted to home treatment as her parents might not be able to withstand the hospital condition. Medical experts are studying her planning and execution as a model treatment method.
