India Makes Grim Milestone Of Highest-cases So Far With 3,32,730 Cases

India reported more than three lakh fresh Coronavirus infected for the second day in a row, making it the only nation after the United States to add over 3 lakh cases two times.

In the last 24 hours, as many as 3,32,730 people have tested positive for the deadly disease. The country's total caseload has zoomed to 16,263,695. The other day, India reported 3,14,835 fresh cases.

While Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state in the country, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Delhi, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh are witnessing dangerous situations.

Maharashtra reported 67,013 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, followed by Uttar Pradesh(34,254), Kerala(26,995), Delhi( 26,169), Karnataka(25,795) and Chhattisgarh(16,750).

Looking at the casualties, India made a grim milestone of 2,263  new fatalities on April 23, while the total casualties in the country caused by the respiratory disease have mounted to 186,920.

The steady rise in the single-day recoveries is the only factor that is in favour of the country in the battle against the crisis. In the last 24 hours, as many as 1,93,279  people have been declared cured of the virus, pushing the total recoveries to 1,36,48,159

Telangana added 6,206 cases, taking the total count of cases in the state over 3.79 lakh. With 3.24 lakh people beating the virus, Telangana has 52,765 active cases.1,928 people have lost their lives to the disease in the state.

On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh reported 10,759 new infections the other day. While the total cases rose to 9,97,462, a major share of patients, 9,22,977 patients have been declared cured of the virus. The active cases in Andhra Pradesh stood at 66,944
