The recent floods in the state came up for discussion in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. During the same, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy provided deets into how the officials and authorities swung into action when the floods hit the state. The Chief Minister also took a dig at opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu in the house.

Jagan said, when the government is carrying out the required helping measures, the opposition is trying to throw dirt and trying to spread false information on the government. He also countered the comments made by Chandrababu Naidu while meeting the flood-hit areas.

In his speech, CM Jagan also flayed Chandrababu over his comments on him where he said, Jagan will get immersed in the air. Talking about the same, Jagan acknowledged the fact that he did not visit the flood-hit areas as he wanted that the help measures should not to be stopped.

The state received the worst ever floods that made the water bodies fill with water. With the bus getting stuck in floodwater, the loss of lives took place. The authorities were alert and extended their services. Food and water were provided for the low-lying areas, he said.

Giving the example of Odisha, Jagan said, every year, the state sees floods but Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik won't show up at any flood-hit areas. He keeps himself busy in taking the required measures. Our government is focused on helping the victims of the flood and we have helped them, he added.
