As part of the reshuffle of the Governors in the country, a few states welcomed new Governors in the place of existing Governors. Andhra Pradesh is one of the states to welcome new Governors. With this, Biswabhusan Harichandan was replaced by the former Judge of the Supreme Court Syed Abdul Nazeer as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
After working for around three and a half years, Biswabhusan Harichandan was replaced. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had good ties with Biswabhusan Harichandan and we did not hear any issues between them. We have seen how the situation is neighboring Telangana.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan had a fallout and they made comments targeting each other openly. The issue even reached the media. Tamilsai even took part in interviews and TV debates and slammed the state government.
But the situation is very different in Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister and Governor enjoyed friendly ties. Almost every file the government sent was approved. It is known that the government employees met the Governor against the state government saying that the salaries and benefits are not coming on time.
Despite this, the Governor did not ask the government to look into this allegedly. This speaks volumes about the friendly ties between them. A few days back, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Biswabhusan Harichandan and his wife at the Raj Bhavan to thank him for his cooperation. It is said that they had a conversation.
Biswabhusan Harichandan received a warm send-off from YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Chief Minister touched the feet of the Governor. Touching the feet is a tradition of seeking blessings from elderly people and showing respect to them.
Usually, we don't see a Chief Minister doing such things. When they meet people holding Constitutional posts, they follow the protocol and welcome them. But touching their feet shows how much respect the Chief Minister has for the outgoing Governor.
Biswabhusan Harichandan said that he had a good time in Andhra Pradesh in the office and called the state his second him. He even heaped praises on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
