Kavitha’s Name In Liquor Scam: What Is Legal Experts Take?

The Liquor Scam unearthed In Delhi became a big topic in the country. The issue took an unexpected turn with Kavitha's name taken by the investigating agencies. Earlier, she was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) at her residence in connection with the case. Now the ED also stepped in and served a summons to Kavitha.

The ED summons started a new doubt on what happens next in the case and did the investigating agencies gather key evidence against her and will they arrest her. The BRS and BJP leaders in the state are having a war of words on the topic.

Amid this, legal experts spoke to a popular media channel about the case and what are the possibilities in the case. The experts also said what is the situation of the case and how the investigation is going on as far as the case is concerned.

A senior counsel in the High Court spoke to a news channel about the case and said that the case is a serious crime and it was not framed without evidence. The counsel said that the case was filed with all the pieces of evidence and the investigation is going on at a good pace.

Talking about the response Kavitha gave on the summons that Telangana will not bow down to anyone, the counsel dubbed it as a drama to gain sympathy from people. She also said that she feels the ED called Kavitha not for questioning but for interrogation as they might have gathered information against her.

Giving a new possibility, the counsel said that there are high chances of Kavitha facing questions along with Ramachandra Pillai and if any key information is gathered then Kavitha might be arrested.

Earlier, the same Counsel questioned Kavitha's idea to write to CBI saying that she is not available in the mentioned. On whose advice did Kavitha do that? That is wrong, he said.

On the other hand, the Counsel's version did not go well with the BRS supporters. Giving the examples of the counsel representing the Bharatiya Janata Party in a few cases in the High Court, they are saying that she might have said this to create confusion among the BRS supporters and activists.
