Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR is one of the busy politicians. Compared to others, he has to take care of state politics and make key steps in national politics too. The other day, BRS appointed the General Secretary and functionaries of the party in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The general elections in Telangana and Lok Sabha elections are fast approaching and the BRS chief has to oversee the two elections. The Telangana Chief Minister is focusing on the general elections in the state and the Lok Sabha polls that are slated for commencement in 2024.
Talking about Telangana politics, KCR is said to have sorted out the Paleru seat row. Former Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao who lost the elections in 2018 from the Paleru constituency reportedly wants to try his luck from the same constituency.
However, KCRâs game plan is such that he wants to make Thummala Nageswara Rao an MLC as three seats fell vacant. The Chief Minister reportedly gave an appointment to Thummala and at the meeting, he would be told the news. However, there is no clarity on whether he will accept the offer or not.
On the other hand, veteran communist leader Tammineni Veerabhadram might get a ticket from Paleru. It is known that TRS and Communist parties allied for the recent Munugode by-polls. As they said that the alliance would last even after the polls. Following the same, the former Lok Sabha member might be made to run the polls from Paleru.
With the deal, the BRS party can address the Paleru confusion by selecting the Communist Party of India leader. While Tammineni Veerabhadram can run the polls here, Thummala can be the MLC. The internal fights among the leaders can be sorted out.
On the other hand, YS Sharmila, daughter of former chief minister of combined Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy who is trying her luck in Telangana reportedly wants to contest from the Paleru constituency. BRS image and the stronghold of communists in Khammam district can make Tammineni Veerabhadram win the elections without any issues. Communists' strength helped BRS win the Munugode polls.
