Komatireddy Wants Congress Leadership To Not Repeat 2018 Mistake?

Update: 2023-02-15 18:00 GMT
Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has been in the news since yesterday with his comments. He made some sensational predictions concerning the general elections in Telangana and said that no party will win more than 60 seats and that the ruling BRS might have to join hands with another party.

After hitting the headlines, Komatireddy met AICC Telangana in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray and key issues are said to have come for discussion. After the meeting, Komatireddy said that key issues concerning the election strategies were discussed.

It is said that Komatireddy Venkat Reddy requested Manik Rao Thackeray to not repeat the 2018 mistake and not go for alliance with the Telugu Desam Party and the candidates who would run the elections should be given tickets at least six months before the polls.

It is known that the Congress party joined hands with Telugu Desam Party and other parties to form a grand alliance for the 2018 polls in Telangana. But the alliance failed as TRS won the polls. Though Congress gave Telangana it could not bank on this.

The Andhra-Telangana issue was raised for the last elections and TRS got the upper hand. Political experts say that Congress would have won more seats if it had not joined hands with the Telugu Desam Party.

Remembering all this, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy might have asked the Congress leadership to not repeat the 2018 mistake. However, there are no chances of TDP and Congress joining hands now as TDP is trying to join hands with BJP.
