The tug of war between Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao is no big secret. People come to know about it during TRS Plenary in April 2015 where KTR took the centrestage and Harish Rao preferred not to share the dais.
In case of Warangal by-poll, Both KTR and Harish Rao proposed their choice of names as TRS Candidate. While KTR supported P Dayakar who hails from Warangal, Harish Rao voted for his close aide Errolla Srinivas who is from Medak. Finally, KCR preferred P Dayakar on ground that he is a local man. Warangal by-poll is reserved for Scheduled Castes and 24 Percent of the 14.75 lakh voters belong to the Madiga community.
Harish Rao skipped the party meetings of KTR in Warangal on Sunday even though several ministers have attended. In addition, KTR's picture appeared on the campaign posters but Harish Rao's face goes missing. However, Both Harish Rao and KTR maintain that the rivarly is just a media creation. While Harish Rao says he would go to Warangal on Nov 4th as he was busy with Mission Kakatiya, KTR claims P Dayakar's choice was a collective decision and its just a question of margin of victory in Warangal by-poll.
