Maggi fails the test and gets banned in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand became the latest state to ban Maggi noodles after Delhi. The officials of the state’s food security department have taken the decision to ban the sale of Maggi as two of 300-odd samples of the food product failed laboratory tests.

Uttarakhand’s decision came after the Delhi government banned the popular noodles brand for 15 days on Wednesday. The decision was prompted by the presence of monosodium glutamate (MSG) in the samples sent for laboratory tests.Two more states Jharkand and Gujarat will take a decision on Thursday about ban on the food product.

Its known that Bolywood celebrities like Amitabh; Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta have landed into legal trouble for endorsing Maggi noodles. Meanwhile Nestle India’s shares crashing at the benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange.
