The Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) announced that the rapid tests which will be conducted as part of the measures to control of Corona will be halted for two days.
The latest development came after doubts arose regarding the accuracy of the 'Rapid Tests' Around 5 lakh Rapid testing kits were distributed to states based on the recommendations of the ICMR to conduct rapid tests for people those who are in the hotspot centers.
Going by the information given by the Rajasthan government, the accuracy of these Rapid kits is only 5.4. This forced the Rajasthan government to halt the Rapid testing kits in the state.
Talking about the same the ICMR said that including Rajasthan three states expressed doubts about the accuracy and urged the states to not conduct the tests with these kits.
