Officers Busted Meat Mafia Selling Beef With Mutton

In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, public was very scared to consume meat fearing that they might get infected with the fatal virus. This has resulted in a sudden drop in chicken sales.

At these tough times, the authorities have successfully busted a racket that is seeling beef and other animal's mee along with mutton. The veterinary doctors got a tip-off about this racket which is based out of Hyderabad.  

Going into detail, Animal Husbandary department additional director Dr. Babu who got to know about this illegal meat racket raised many places at the surroundings of GHMC.

Dr. Babu was assisted by a committee consisting of veterinary doctors who got a tip-off about the meat sales, irregularities, and high prices at some places. As a result, they have conducted rides at Barkas, Manikonda, Asif Nagar, Jiya Guda, Golkonda, Amberpet, Nampally, Redhills, Gachobowli, Jubleehills, Uppal and Ameer pet and found out that they are selling beef along with mutton.

The authorities have found out that 50 shops were being operated without proper licenses and at some places chicken vendors are only selling mutton. The prices of meat increased suddenly with experts advising to consume meat to improve the immunity system.

With the increasing demand for meat, the meat sellers were increasing the prices hugely. At some places, mutton was being sold for 1100 and that too there is no surety about the quality of it.
