One from Telangana - Three from AP!

One University from Telangana and Three Universities from Andhra Pradesh have found a place in the prestigious Times Higher Education rankings for Top 300 Universities in BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) and Emerging Economics.

The renowned Osmania University in Telangana made it to the elite club. Whereas, Andhra University (Vizag), Acharya Nagarjuna University (Guntur) and Sri Venkateswara University (Tirupati) are the educational institutions in AP to make it to the final list.

In 2015, Andhra University (Rank 193) is the only institution from Telugu States featured in the Top 200 Universities. This year, Its rank is in the 201-250 slot. Even OU and ANU are in the same slot.

As many as 27 Universities from India featured in Top 300. Indian Institute of Science-Bangalore (Rank 14) is the top rated University in the country.

Rankings based on 5 Parameters: Teaching (30%), Research (20%), Citations (20%), International Outlook (20%) and Industry Income (10%).
