The future of the people living in Afghanistan is put on question after the Taliban claimed control over the country by taking over the provincial capitals. Afghans are making desperate efforts to escape from the Taliban hit nation.

When the activists and several nations are expressing their concern over the future of Afghan nationals, former Pakistani Cricketer Shahid Afridi is facing the heat on social media for his pro Taliban comments.

Speaking to the media, Shahid Afridi said its positive that the Taliban troops are allowing the women to work. We haven't seen this before, he said.

"They (Taliban) came with a positive frame of mind. We haven't seen this approach before. Mashallah a lot of positive things are coming in the scene. Women are allowed to work, politics and other types of work. They are supporting cricket and I feel that Taliban like cricket very much," Shahid Afridi said while speaking to the media in Karachi.

Within no time, his comments went viral and the netizens didn't spare him over his seeing positivity in Taliban. He is being trolled on social media by the netizens.

The netizens are sharing the old video of Shahid Afridi on which he can be heard saying that women are not allowed to play outdoor sports and they are good at cooking.

Pakistani-Canadian journalist Tarek Fatah had slammed Shahid Afridi over his comments and found fault with the cricketer for defending the Taliban troops.

"Watch Pakistani cricketer Shahid
@sAfridiOfficial defend the #Taliban Terrorist regime in #Kabul. Afridi is brimming with praise as he equates the Taliban love for cricket as evidence they will let women work," Tarek Fatah tweeted.

The members of the Afghanistan national cricket team have earlier requested the world leaders to help the country in maintaining peace and called for a peaceful environment in the country.

Pushing Afghanistan deep into the crisis, the US troops have left Afghanistan and the last aircraft carrying the troops left from the country. This means Afghanistan went to the control of Taliban troops totally and the super power nation United States has put an end to its fight with the Taliban with this.
