Though the menace of stray dogs is not a new problem and it is troubling us for a very long time, the issue is in the news and several questions were raised with the recent Amberpet incident. A four-year-old boy was attacked and killed by a pack of stray dogs.

Now we have to worry about another thing which is monkey menace. Of late the incidents of monkeys attacking people increased. Another incident joined the list now. A small boy was attacked by the monkeys and bit off his finger. He was taken to the nearby hospital.
The incident was reported from Modugulagudem in Mahabubabad in Telangana. A couple has a small baby who is just one and a half months old. Baby's mother placed the baby in a cradle and went inside the house for her work.
While the baby was playing in the Cradle, a bunch of monkeys approached her and attacked her. With this, the baby started crying loudly and this made her mother come out. Seeing monkeys around her baby, she cleared them. But she found that monkeys bit off the thumb of the baby.
The baby was taken to the nearby hospital for treatment. However, she was referred to Warangal for better treatment. The doctors there are treating her and further information is underway.
The issue raised many eyeballs and people are talking about the monkey menace. As if the stray dogs' menace is not enough, monkey menace came out and started a debate on how the menace should be addressed.
Deforestation is the main reason behind this. Due to urbanization, we are expanding our territory and moving towards the habitats of wild animals. In search of food, they are coming to our habitat and attacking people. The recent incident is an example of what happens when the two habitats come closer.
