Sushma Swaraj's First Speech on Hate Crimes

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj came to the Parliament for the first time in the past three months. Today, She made her first public appearance after undergoing Kidney Transplantation in December last year.

Sushma Swaraj received a warm welcome when she stepped into the House Today. All the Parliamentarians clapped for the Union Minister who is back overcoming a serious health ailment. Sushma thanked entire Lok Sabha for conveying good wishes. She claims to have completely recovered because of her well-wishers and the faith she have in Lord Krishna.  

Later, Sushma Swaraj made the stand of Centre clear on the recent hate crimes in USA. 'Opposition Members questioned why Centre remained silent on the crimes against Indian. I wish to convey that NDA Government willn't keep quiet when our people are in trouble. Safety of our people is our foremost priority. Indian Embassy is constantly in touch with the NRIs,' she makes it clear.

The Union Minister recalled the repeated enquiries of PM Modi about the family of Srinivas Kuchibhotla who was killed by a Navy Veteran in Kansas City inspite being extremely busy with poll campaigning in five states. She claims to have personally spoken to Father and Wife of Srinivas Kuchibhotla. She also read out the e-mail of Srinivas wife Sunaina who thanked Indian Embassy loudly in the House.

Lastly, Sushma ended her speech saying she contacted the family members of Indian NRIs who were attacked in US and provided them immediate help. She maintained hate crime incidents doesn't reflect the sentiments of all Americans as they were strongly condemned by the US Nationals as well.
