Many countries across the globe have taken a call to ease the lockdown restrictions to get things back on track. However, some countries have reversed the decision as the outbreak has not weakened yet.
In the wake of this, Malaysia has decided to restrict nationals of 22 countries to their country as a safety measure, and tourists from selected nations will only be allowed until the pandemic ends.
Reportedly, Malaysia might not allow tourists from other nations till the second quartered of the next year.
Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Nancy Shukri in her recent interview to a leading daily said, the government is taking steps to make a list of countries that are safe from the virus.
Only the tourists from these nations will be allowed once the Malaysian borders are opened for the tourists as a precautionary measure.
She added that Malaysia is opening its borders in a phased manner and the opening border with Singapore is a part of the step and other borders will also be opened based on the situations.
