The Hyderabad-based MIM party which is led by Asaduddin Owaisi is holding meetings at the national level for the first time. The event would be held in Mumbai and would last for two days. Now it has turned interesting to see what the party would conclude and where the party would tend. Interestingly, the party selected Maharashtra which will go for elections next year rather than selecting Telangana where the polls will be held this year.
MIM held meetings in Hyderabad, neighboring Nizamabad, Karimnagar, and the Kurnool region in a combined state as of now. But it is gearing up to hold meetings at the national level in Maharashtra and this is said to be a first of its kind. Media reports say that the party wants to show its power in Maharashtra and at the national level.
National media was invited to the meeting, which will be attended by MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and chiefs of parties in other states. MIM is said to be in plans to come to assessment for polls with like-minded parties, and organisations that work for the upliftment of Dalits and other marginalised communities.
However, the situations hint that we would get clarity on what would be the stand of the MIM towards the ruling BRS in Telangana.
Assembly elections are slated for commencement this year in Telangana. MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi recently made sensational comments that the party would win 15 seats in the next elections. This also added relevance to the meeting. Moreover, the party wants to remove the image of the B2 party of BJP.
On top of this, MIM is in plans to focus on UP and Bihar to show its power at the centre. There are a few indications that MIM might also focus on Andhra Pradesh this time. Now it has turned interesting to see what the party would do.
