It's been more than a year since the ongoing Coronavirus has emerged. Due to the respiratory disease, everything around us came to a standstill. The scientists termed the pandemic as the deadly virus in recent times.

Experts believe that, after the Second World War, the Covid-19 has inculcated fear in the public to a level that, during the initial day's people feared to step out of their house.

Let's look at the scenario in India, the second worst-affected nation with Covid-19 globally, 10,266,674 patients have been diagnosed with the virus, while 148,738 people succumbed battling it.

Out of the 148,738 Covid-19 related deaths in the country, more than 70 percent of the deceased are men, nearly 45 percent of infected men below the age group of 60 lost their lives to it.

Coming to the infected cases, out of the total 10,266,674 Coronavirus cases, 63 percent of cases are men. 52 percent of infections are between the age group of 18 to 44. The remaining 11 percent of 63 percent succumbed to the virus.

The experts cite one theory for the differences in infections among men and women. The changes in the immune system between them is the main reason behind making men more vulnerable to the virus.  The x chromosome contains immune-related genes in a large number, which will be double the number in women compared to men.

With having the immune-related genes double in number compared to men, women are said immune to the pandemic. Looks like, the virus only targets men than women.
