Two key ministers of the KCR cabinet in Telangana simply stood up and walked away from a crucial cabinet meeting on Thursday. Not just that. They are going to miss the all-important meeting of the BRS on Friday. The two ministers who walked away are Higher Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and minister from the tribal community Satyavathi Rathod.

No... wait wait... don't jump to any conclusion that these Ministers are raising a banner of revolt against KCR's leadership. They have left for Delhi to join MLC Kavitha Kalwakuntla's dharna at Jantar Mantar. The dharna is being seen as a show of strength of Kavitha Kalwakuntla, who is accused of being involved in the infamous Delhi liquor scam and faces the prospect of being arrested by the ED.

Kavitha wants to show that she enjoys immense public support and is going all out to garner as much sympathy as possible in the whole episode. All across Delhi, posters with the catchline "Daughter of a fighter will never fear" sprung up. Kavitha has also invited the likes of CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechuri to attend the dharna and express solidarity.

Kavitha has also slammed Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. She said that the act was draconian in nature and was meant to torment the political rivals. The law treats the accused as a convict, she commented. She is hoping to gain the support of the AAP cadre in Delhi.
