The Telugu Desam Party is putting in its best efforts to come to power in the next Assembly in Andhra Pradesh. The programs like 'Badude Badudu' and 'Idem Kharma Mana Rastraniki' to highlight the failures of the YCP government became big hits.
On one hand, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh is busy with his 4000 kilometer span padayatra. His padayatra is now going on in the Tirupathi district. Nara Lokesh's padayatra finished one month. On the other hand, Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu is doing rapid events across the state. He is breathing fire at the YS Jagan government with road shows and public meetings.
On the flip side, incomings started in the party too. A few days back, the former Chief of the Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party Kanna Lakshminarayana wore the TDP shawl. The likes of YCP Rebel MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy are interested to join TDP.
The party is also sending Ghar Wapsi invitations to leaders who joined other parties leaving the TDP. Reports said that the invitations were sent to MP CM Ramesh, former MPs TG Venkatesh, Sujana Chowdary, and former Minister Adinarayana Reddy who left the Telugu Desam Party after the 2019 elections.
It is said that key TDP leaders are in touch with people who left the party in the past two years. As part of this, TDP approached former Minister Adinarayana Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh who hails from Kadapa district. The talks are going on with other leaders including them. Invitations were sent asking them to come back.
After the 2019 elections, many leaders from the East and West Godavari districts joined the YCP leaving the TDP. Having taken the next elections prestigiously, TDP is in plans to gather support from all corners. It is said that TDP is determined to give tough competition to YCP by joining as many leaders as possible.
Similarly, the TDP is also said to be making plans to invite leaders in other parties who felt neglected. Gossips say that they were assured justice after coming to power.
With the TDP leadership coming into touch, leaders who joined other parties are said to be thinking about what to do. A few members from YCP and BJP are seriously considering the offer allegedly. They are thinking that the chances of getting a party ticket from the party are very less and it might backfire if they wait till the last minute.
