Is KCR planning to induct his daughter Kalwakuntla Kavitha into his cabinet? Insiders say yes. KCR is all set to reshuffle his cabinet and is said to be planning to bring his daughter into the government. Along with her, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah are likely to be inducted, sources say.
But, this may not exactly be good news for Ministers Malla Reddy and Koppula Eshwar. Both the ministers are embroiled in shady land deals and are facing land grab allegations. Since Etela Rajender has been sacked from the cabinet citing similar allegations, it has become necessary to take action against these two ministers, whose deals are now public knowledge.
Sources say that KCR is well on his way to form his Team 2023, the team that will face the elections in 2023. Kavitha would be given a key portfolio and would be brought into the limelight. This will be the first ministerial assignment for KCR's daughter. She had earlier served as an MP from Nizamabad before being defeated by BJP's Dharmapuri Aravind in 2019. Her elevation means further downgrading of Harish Rao, party insiders say.
There has been no cabinet reshuffle since September 2019. The only change has been the sacking of Etela. Sources say that Koppula Eshwar, a Dalit minister, could be replaced by Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, who too is fromm the same community.
