YSRCP, BJP Use the same tune for election campaign

Plagiarism is quite common in the film world. Two music directors getting 'inspired' by the same tune is very common in the film world. There are instances where two directors copied from the same original and made two films with the same theme.

But this time around in Tirupati bypolls, it is the turn of the politicians and the political parties to copy the same tune. The YSRCP has got a theme song readied for the Tirupati byelections and played it during the filing of nomination papers by its candidate Gurumurthy. But, it was surprised the same tune emanating from the BJP camp. The BJP too used a song with the same tune for its nominations. While the YSRCP song talked about Jagan Anna, the BJP song talked about Narendra Modi. Both the parties are now accusing one another of plagiarizing. It appears the song was rendered by the same artiste.

Interestingly, the song is based on a Telangana folk tune, which is quite popular across Telangana. The elections are in Andhra Pradesh, but the tunes are borrowed from Telangana. Well! The BJP is even set to requisition the services of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay for the campaign.
