AP Elections: Palnadu Region High On Intensity?

It is one of the most sensitive regions in the state as far as the elections are concerned. All the required measures have been taken as a safety measure to see that no unwanted scenes take place. However, the region reportedly saw some tense scenes in the wake of the ongoing elections.

We are talking about the Palnadu region here. The region is known for seeing tense scenes before and during elections. It looks like the same happened now and four constituencies saw tense scenes which increased the political heat.

Macharla: Tension gripped the region with alleged fidget between the ruling YCP and opposition TDP. The TDP agents alleged that they were stopped from entering the booths and they were even attacked. Eenadu reported that EVMs were damaged in Macharla.

Vinukonda: The region was also high on tension as the elections are underway. It is said that supporters of both sides had an ugly fight over allegedly creating obstacles for the other side. This led to fears among the voters, reports say.

Pedakurapadu: Going against the trend, the region also saw fights between two sides. On top of the election heat, the provocative comments are said to have led to violent clashes. The clashes reportedly led to a few people sustaining injuries.

Gurazala: The seat has been getting all the attention even before the elections as an intense fight was predicted with the candidates accusing each other. Living up to the expectations, supporters of both sides are said to have indulged in violent clashes.

TDP MP Candidate Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu alleged that the YSRCP indulged in violence and requested the Election Commission to take immediate action. Taking to social media, he raised the complaint.
