After all his raves and rants, former GHMC mayor Teegala Krishna Reddy appears to have mellowed a bit and appears to have reconsidered his decision to leave the ruling BRS. Teegala is said to have felt that staying in the BRS is the best option available to him at this state.
Teegala, who contested on BRS ticket and lost to Congress Party's Sabitha Indra Reddy from Maheshwaram in the 2018 elections, has been sulking ever since Sabitha joined the BRS and became a minister. He threatened to leave the BRS if the Maheshwaram ticket is not given to him instead of Sabitha.
However, the BRS boss remained firm and is said to have told Teegala that he would be suitably rehabilitated, but getting the party ticket was out of question. He was also reminded that his daughter in law was made the ZP chief in recognition of his services to the party and that he should remain content with it.
For Teegala, the options are limited. Neither the Congress nor the BJP are promising him a ticket to contest from Maheshwaram. So, even if he leaves the BRS, he may not be able to contest the MLA seat. So, remaining with the BRS and allowing the daughter in law to complete her term appears to be the best option for him. Hence, he has mellowed down quite a bit and is keeping a low profile.
