It's Time To Move From EVMs: CPI Narayana's Thoughts!
Amid this CPI Narayana came out to give his thoughts. He said that it is time we should move to ballot papers from the EVMs.
Even after the results are out we are not done with the discussions on EVMs. The debates and discussions on the issue turned intense. This is a burning issue in national politics and regional politics too. Can the EVMs be tampered is the big debate that is going on.
Talking about Andhra Pradesh in particular, the opposition YCP is talking about it a lot. Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a sensational tweet on EVMs and the need to use ballot papers. However, the tweet backfired as his old video of making comments in favour of EVMs became viral. Keeping this aside he added fuel to the fire around the issue.
Amid this CPI Narayana came out to give his thoughts. He said that it is time we should move to ballot papers from the EVMs. In his video message, he listed out the nations where ballot papers are used and asked why India is still using the EVMs.
"Yes, this is the time to discuss about the EVMs. Throughout the world around 122 countries that were using EVMs have banned them and they are going for the ballot papers including America and Japan," CPI Narayana said.
"Saying that the countries are moving towards the ballot papers, CPI Narayana asked why India is still using the EVMs. Now this is the time to put all democratic elements together and see that momentum should be developed throughout India about the EVMs. In the next elections EVMs should not be used in the country," Narayana added.
