Can Pawan Kalyan Do What Chandrababu,Jagan Could Not?

Besides this, Pawan Kalyan holds crucial portfolios like Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. He is having a busy time after taking charge. He is chairing meetings with the concerned authorities on various issues. He has a busy schedule.

It is said that Pawan Kalyan plans to create a sensation and achieve what YS Jagan and Chandrababu could not. If he can do this then he would add another feather to his cap. Let us have a look at this.

It is known that there is a central scheme that offers Employment Guarantee to unskilled labour for 100 days. It was started to help the laborers in the rural areas with employment.

Pawan Kalyan wants to extend the scheme at the root level too. However, there are a few issues with this. Pawan wants to link this to farmers and agriculture workers so that employment chances would be provided.

However, this is not easy. Extending the scheme would add additional burden to the scheme as the amount they get would be increased. Agriculture is a labour work and needs a force. On average, those who go to work get around Rs 500 every day they go to work.

Under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, they get over Rs 200 per day for 100 days. If the scheme is implemented for agriculture then the amount should be doubled and they should be trained for the agriculture work.

Observers say that earlier Chandrababu and Jagan tried to do this but could not. Pawan wants to achieve what the two CMs cannot do. It would be interesting to see how he can deal with this. Let us wait and see.
