Now the Prime Minister reacted to this and issued an apology. Narendra Modi said that he is apologizing to his deity Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for what had happened. Calling himself a devotee of Shivaji Maharaj, the Prime Minister apologized.
Narendra Modi said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is not a name to them and he is a deity. The Prime Minister said that he always saw Shivaji Maharaj as his deity and recalled what he did when he was named as the Prime Minister candidate back in 2013.
