PM Modi’s Focus On Communication To Fight False Narratives!

If there is someone who has a better understanding of the growing changes in the political landscape then it has to be Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He won three consecutive terms as he is in his third term as the Prime Minister. The serving Prime Minister wants active communication so that the Narratives of the opposition can be countered.

These narratives have the potential to undermine the government’s work. Realizing this, the Prime Minister calls for active communication to counter the false narratives of the opposition parties effectively.

We have seen a few instances where the narratives of the opposition parties almost changed the public mood. Before the 2024 elections, there was an opinion that the BJP would come to power with a good number of seats as it did in 2019.

However, the opposition parties sent a strong message to the public that the government might go for the constitutional amendments if it gets the required magic figure. The opposition parties tried hard to shape the public mood with the narrative. Seeing this the BJP assured that no such thing would take place. The BJP was successful in countering the false narrative set up by the opposition parties.

Another narrative the opposition parties had set up is that there would be an environment which would be intolerant and the Minorities would be targeted. They tried to use this as a weapon to shape the minority voters against the BJP. The BJP effectively countered the narrative with its “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas". The welfare schemes and the initiatives are taken to the public.

Even on National security, the opposition parties targeted the ruling BJP despite putting in their best efforts. When they attacked the BJP on territorial integrity, the ruling party said defense capabilities were strengthened.

Seeing the false narratives on various issues the Prime Minister called for an active communication so that the false narratives can be effectively countered and the public can be informed about this. We are living in an era where false information can be spread easily. With a focus on transparency and accountability, the government wants to take forward the good work with commitment.
