It is already known that the United States has been one of the cultural centres for the Indian community over the last decade or so. But things to change as the local population is reacting differently to the Hindu movement here.
A recent field report by Turning Point USA featured correspondent Savannah Hernandez visiting Frisco in North Texas to look at the fast growing Indian community in the area.
The report claims that in 2010, Indian and other Asian residents made up about 10 percent of the local population. Today, that number is said to be above 30 percent in parts of the region, with some school districts now having a majority of Asian students. The video links this growth to visible cultural changes across neighborhoods.
One of the locations highlighted is the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple, described as one of the largest Hindu temples in the region. The report focuses on temple activities and mentions devotees praying for health, career progress, and visa approvals.
Some local voices in the video express concern about how quickly the demographics are changing and say this is also influencing the cultural landscape of North Texas. At the same time, members of the Indian community see the growth as a sign of economic contribution, professional success, and religious freedom.
The segment is part of a larger documentary project that the organization says will examine the rise of Indian and Muslim communities in North Texas from its perspective.
