NTR University Name Bill: Health Minister’s Sensational Comments!

NTR Health University is a major institute that was set up in Andhra Pradesh in the combined state. The University offered various courses. The institute caught itself in the middle of a big controversy due to a name-changing row. NTR Health University was changed to YSR Health University by YCP saying that YSR made more contributions as a doctor.

TDP opposed the move and held a few protests. The party said that it would restore NTR’s name to the University. The bill stating the same was approved in the Assembly House. Medical and health minister Y Satya Kumar made sensational comments on the occasion addressing the House.

The Minister said that those who claim themselves as family members did not object when the University name was changed and stayed with the YCP despite this. This tells us how much they love NTR. He said he won't mention their names.

Though Satya Kumar did not mention any names, many say that he might have indirectly attacked Lakshmi Parvathi, NTR’s widow. She is with the YCP and did not say anything when this happened and remained silent when NTR’s statue was demolished.

Everytime she comes out to speak she highlights the point that she is NTR’s wife and Chandrababu did not respect NTR. Despite this she did not oppose the move to change NTR Health University’s name. Now the Minister is said to have indirectly targeted her.

Satya Kumar said that the University was started to help students pursue various courses in the state and it was set up by NTR. As he started the University it was named after him later. YSR changed the name to DR NTR Health University. But the previous government changed the name for no reason except for the madness of changing names, he added.
