Will AP government pass social media bill soon?

The winter assembly session in Andhra Pradesh are not too far away and height of the same, the deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan has pointed about the social media bill.
Janasena Party president and DCM Kalyan has expressed concern over the increasing spread of fake posts on social media, targeting government schools, hostels, and welfare schemes. Party leaders stated that misleading content is being circulated to confuse people and create unnecessary panic.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said the government is committed to transparency and accountability. He stressed that false campaigns not only mislead the public but also weaken democracy.
He called for collective responsibility from citizens, media, and political parties to maintain truth and integrity in public communication.
With the deputy chief minister Kalyan himself pointing out this issue, it looks very likely that the social media bill is going to be passed in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, very soon. Once this comes to effect, there will be restriction on the kind of posts that are shared on social media.
