In the wake of the upcoming general elections in Telangana, we are seeing interesting developments. Aspirants who could not get tickets for the elections are expressing their dissatisfaction with the party and leading it for others. We have seen leaders from one party joining others with this.
Continuing the same veteran leader’s son joined the ruling BRS from the Congress party. Senior Congress leader P. Janardhan Reddy’s son Vishnu Vardhan Reddy who was miffed with the Congress for denying him the Jubilee Hills ticket joined the BRS.
Now he joined the BRS in the presence of Chief Minister KCR. The BRS chief formally invited him into the party at a meeting. Senior politician Nagam Janardhan Reddy also joined the party. The six-time MLA resigned from the Congress party earlier after he was denied the ticket.
The two leaders joining the BRS can be seen as a big blow to the Congress party. The two were not happy about missing the tickets for the upcoming polls. For the same reason, they came out of the party and now joined the ruling party.
After he was denied the Jubilee Hills ticket, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy said that he will contest the elections from the seat for sure. The BRS party already announced incumbent MLA Maganti Gopinath as the candidate from the seat. So there is no chance for him to contest the seat.
After inviting him to the party, CM KCR is believed to have said that he is giving assurance to Vishnu Vardhan Reddy’s future and urged him to be a part of the development of the state.
With this, many wonder what would be the assurance from the Chief Minister. His father is a celebrated leader and any position he gets should be on par with his stature. Many say that he might be given a big post. Let us wait and see what happens next.
