Request For Travel Ban: Ball Is In Joe Biden's Court Now!

The doubt on what would be Joe Biden's decision had started in the wake of a delegation of Republican senators, led by Marco Rubio writing to him to seek a ban on travel between the United States and China. The senator announced this on social media which grabbed everyone's attention.

China has been suffering from a mysterious illness and the hospitals are said to be seeing hospitalisations in big numbers. The seriousness of the issue is such that even the global health body World Health Organization (WHO) stepped in and asked China to share information about the illness.

In the wake of the fears about the conditions, a group of senators had written to the United States seeking a ban on travel to China until we get a clear picture of the illness.

The senators had stressed the importance of imposing a ban on travel between the two nations. Citing the example of covid outbreak on how the pandemic left a big impact, they want a travel ban.

They also accused the Chinese Communist Party of having a history of lying in cases of public health crises and cited the COVID-19 pandemic as an example.

Citing all these aspects, the senators are seeking a ban on travel between the United States and China till they get clarity on what is happening in China as far as the illness is concerned.
