1+1+1= 0 or 3?
The reason is that BJP has the image of Hindutva and people from other communities might not vote for the party and its alliance parties.
1+1+1= 3 everyone knows this. Even a small kid can answer this. But the equation is different in politics and there is a threat of 1+1+1 becoming 0 say the political experts as anything is possible. Political observers raise the doubt of whether this equation would happen in Andhra Pradesh.
Ahead of the elections TDP, BJP, and Janasena decided to join hands in Andhra Pradesh. Repeating the 2014 scenes, the three parties allied. The only difference is that this time Janasena was given a few seats to contest.
However, the political observers doubt whether 1+1+1= would be 0 or 3. The reason is that BJP has the image of Hindutva and people from other communities might not vote for the party and its alliance parties. This possibility is the biggest nightmare. Ever since the BJP came to power there has been a big criticism that attacks on minorities increased in the country.
Against this backdrop there is an opinion that Muslims and Christians would not vote for the BJP and their votes would be a minus. This backdrop not only hurts the BJP but also the TDP and Janasena.
TDP worked hard to bring the BJP into the alliance thinking that the Modi wave would work here as well and help the alliance have an advantage in the elections and repeat the 2014 results. He spent a busy time in the national capital Delhi meeting the bigwigs in the BJP for this.
But there is a big doubt on whether BJP's image would hinder the alliance. Muslims and Christians are in big numbers in Andhra Pradesh. If the communities won't vote for the alliance then it would be a disaster.
BJP has a wave in the northern states and there is no doubt about it. Hindutva and Ram Mandir's inauguration would work for it in the states. But the same is not the case in Andhra Pradesh. These factors won't work here and they might even damage the alliance. The observers wonder if these factors work against the alliance with the BJP's image.
On top of this, people in Andhra Pradesh are not happy with the BJP as it has done nothing for the state. After 2014 BJP announced it would help the state build a capital better than Delhi and only Rs 100 crores were allocated. Even while allocating the Institutions and others AP was shown an empty hand. Considering all these factors many say that BJP's image might be a danger, not a positive impact.
