We are seeing significant developments in Telangana after the change in government. The current government is looking into the alleged irregularities that occurred in the last government. A big war of words happened between the ruling and opposition parties on the prestigious Kaleshwaram project.

The focus then went on the schemes with the sheep-rearing scheme getting all the attention. Recently, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) said that irregularities worth Rs Rs 253 were unearthed. CAG said that fake invoices were used for this.

Now the issue took a big turn with the ACB making a few arrests. In connection with the case, four officials were arrested. It was found that the arrested officials joined hands with the private people to divert government funds worth Rs 2.10 crores to benami accounts.

As per the media reports ACB arrested Assistant Director Ravi, Aditya Kesava Sai, and Raghupati Reddy in connection with the case over their alleged involvement. While two of them belong to Animal Husbandry, Ganesh is Adult Education Deputy Director, and Raghupati Reddy is Ranga Reddy Groundwater manager.

The allegations they are facing are that instead of paying money to the buyers they transferred the money to the accounts of brokers. The issue came to light when a sheep-rearer from Guntur filed a complaint. Later a case was filed and an investigation was launched. As the investigation directed to the accused, the ACB knocked on their doors and arrested them.

Talking about the scheme the Telangana Sheep Distribution scheme was launched by the BRS to help the shepherd community. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries will be given a unit of sheet, which has 20 sheep and a ram.
