Since the time of the Sandhya theatre incident, that deeply affected Allu Arjun and subsequently, the Tollywood as a whole, the discussion about special shows and ticket hikes has become a topic of discussion. The after effects of this incident related to Pushpa 2 has set a new discourse in Tollywood as a whole.

Incidentally, the Telangana High Court has now issued a key order regarding the special shows culture that is still relevant in Telangana.

The High Court mentioned that the rule that has been set in motion for the cinematography department in the state makes it clear that no cinema screenings must happen between 1:30 to 8:40.

The court had earlier reprimanded the Telangana government for issuing special permission and ticket hikes to Game Changer during the Sankranthi season. Subsequently, the government took back the order regarding special shows and additional ticket hikes.

Now the Telangana High Court has passed more of a generic judgement as it made clear point that there must be no cinema screens in the state between 1:30 AM and 8:40 AM. This is going to be a rule of thumb that is likely to be followed in the state henceforth.

What this essentially means is that the makers of upcoming big ticket films must make do without any additional shows later on in the night. This is going to be a tough yet lawfully enforced regulation on the film industry.

The next big release from Tollywood could be Raja Saab, which is likely to arrive this summer. It has to be seen what sort of a resolution that the makers will sort out with the Telangana government regarding the special shows. But the chances are that the government might not allow these shows in view of the court order.
