The volume of the immigration population in the United States has been on a constant rise, and this is not going to stop in the near future either. But if we put together the cumulative data, it is evident that Indians are the best immigration population in the country.

New research shows that Indian immigrants deliver the largest positive 30-year fiscal impact to the U.S. federal government. On average, an Indian immigrant and their descendants save the government $1.7 million over 30 years the highest among all major countries of origin.

In comparison, immigrants from China contribute about $900,000, the Philippines $650,000, Colombia $500,000, Venezuela $400,000, the Dominican Republic $200,000, and Cuba $150,000 over the same period.

These numbers represent the net fiscal benefit taxes paid minus government spending on public services and benefits. The data highlight how Indian immigrants, known for their high education levels and strong presence in sectors like technology, healthcare, and entrepreneurship, significantly strengthen the U.S. economy.

While social media debates often misrepresent the impact of immigrants, this research makes it clear that Indian immigrants are a major fiscal asset. Their long-term economic contribution far exceeds that of any other group analyzed, reflecting both their productivity and the success of U.S. immigration policies that attract high-skilled talent.

In fiscal terms, India’s diaspora contributes more per person to the U.S. than any other immigrant group saving nearly $1.7 million per family line over three decades.
