As revealed by sources in Bollywood, the makers of RRR are apparently locking early Sankranthi release for the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer. It is heard that the makers are considering January 1st week release for the Rajamouli directorial. Nothing is for certain for now but there a total of 3 dates that are in serious consideration for RRR now. While January 7th remains to be the firm favourite for Rajamouli, he doesn't rule out the possibility of pushing the release a bit further by releasing the film on 8th, or 9th January. There are the three prime release dates that are likely lo be locked for RRR. Rajamouli will take the final call on the same very soon.
With several Bollywood biggies like Sooryavanshi, 83, Jersey, and other locking the release dates, the onus is now on RRR to pick the optimal release date and go ahead with the release plans. It was recently heard that the makers are also contemplating early April release but they seem to have altered the plans now as they intend to release the film this Sankranthi season. The idea is to cash in on the usually lucrative Sankranthi season. Given the humongous following of Jr NTR and Ram Charan, RRR, a project that marks their maiden coming together has all the potential in the world to make it big at the box office if it is released during the Sankranthi season. This is exactly what the makers of RRR are hoping for.
Rajamouli predicts that the post production of RRR will be completed by the end of this November and he will readily have the final cut in hand by this December. In the meanwhile, team RRR will have ample time to sort out a proper promotional campaign to build unprecedented buzz to the film. The pan-India market is expected to open up by the end of this year and the likes of Pushpa and Jersey will set the ticket counters on fire this Christmas season. The biggest project in Indian cinema, RRR is likely to arrive in theatres early next year as it looks set to lock Sankranthi release.
