The government of Maharashtra has sounded the death rattle for the forthcoming pan-India biggies. The government has announced 50% occupancy at cinema halls and also the night curfew which will be in effect from 9 PM - 6 AM till further notice.
"Breaking : Maharashtra Govt imposed night curfew from 9 pm to 6 am from midnight Today effective immediately. Theatres will remain operational till 9pm with 50% capacity limits till further orders." The statement from a renowned media portal read.
With 50% occupancy and night curfew regulations, it is near impossible to recover the theatrical investments which could greatly haunt RRR.
As a part of this order, evening and night shows have been cancelled effective immediately. With limited shows and 50% occupancy in place, we can't expect any more pan-India biggies to go ahead with the release plans.
