Update: 2021-09-28 11:15 GMT
In what could be a sensational development of sorts, Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan's RRR might be picking Bheemla Nayak's release date. For the past few hours, rumors are rife that RRR is set to hit the silver screens on the 12th of January this year. It is all but confirmed that the Rajamouli directorial will be locking Sankranthi release  After much contemplation, RRR has locked Sankranthi release as the makers and the buyers can't hold back on the release date any further, given the massive investments and the stakes involved.

Now, several reliable reports are implying that RRR will be hitting the silver screens across the globe on the 12th of January. This date was initially locked for Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati's Bheemla Nayak. The makers had also announced that the film will be releasing on the 12th of January but now that RRR is set to pick the same date, it remains to be seen if Bheemla Nayak will lock the same release date as that of RRR or postpone to a later date.

There are reports claiming that Bheemla Nayak might be pushed to Republic day release - 26th January in case RRR actually locks 12th January release slot. Everything depends on RRR's release date now and the makers of Bheemla Nayak will be taking the final call on the release date accordingly.

At first, we have to wait and see if RRR will indeed pick Bheemla Nayak's slot. This is the main interesting point now. The entire Telugu film industry is anxious about RRR's release date as the scale of the project is so very magnanimous that it can prove to be the catalyst in Indian cinema by emerging as the 'big-canvas' film that pulls the audience back to the theatres in big numbers.

RRR is currently under post production and it is heard that the makers will be holding a media meet or even directly release a new poster with the new release date imprinted on it.  It is known that RRR marks the coming together of Rajamouli, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, and others.
