Telangana High Court Denies Stay On RGV's Murder

Update: 2020-12-24 07:54 GMT
The Telangana High Court has refused to hear the lunch motion petition filed by Amrutha Pranay seeking suspension of the release of the film Murder. Amrutha stated in her petition that the court was misled and that the film was made with her own story and urged to stall the release of the film.

However, the court refused to hear Amrutha's petition. Meanwhile, a preview of 'Murder' was screened on Wednesday (December 23). The film unit says that the movie Murder has nothing to do with the story of Amrutha Pranay. Director Anand Chandra made this clear during a recent preview.

'Murder' is based on a real-life story of a Dalit boy who was killed by his father-in-law, belonging to an upper caste.  Earlier, the film was stalled from the release as per the directions of Nalgonda court. RGV challenged the decision in the Telangana high court and got a nod for the release.
