'Aha' got launched with a brand of being the only original Telugu OTT platform. Allu Aravind and real estate tycoon My Home Rameshwar Rao are the managing partners while rumors say that DIl Raju is also a minor partner in it. 'Aha' was launched just a few weeks before the lockdown which smoothened the proceedings and it reached the public easily as it got around nine lakh subscribers till date.
But sources say that around 200 crores have been invested in this OTT platform. People close to Allu Aravind say that streaming sites need huge money which needs to be pumped in frequently. They claim that everyone knows about the stakes right from the beginning which is why they entered this business planning to spend across thousand to fifteen hundred crores on this platform.
Insiders say that their target is to gain 50 lakh subscribers which will help in getting a breakeven status. Currently, 'Aha' is not focusing on big films as it is releasing one or two movies every month and investing more on producing original content. The management has reportedly made calls to all the top directors in the industry and asked them to come up with good projects. All these directors are trying to come up with interesting content for 'Aha' as per reports.
