Telugu producers haven't really tried to get into other languages as much as Ramanaidu and Vijay Productions. Ramanaidu on his Suresh Productions made a movie in every language in India.
Vijay Productions very early established themselves in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Now, they make one or two Tamil movies for 5 years or 6 years.
Other than that rest all production house mainly stick to Telugu market and there are few exceptions where few producers tried multi-linguals and direct films once in a new moon, but then dropped the idea after one or two.
Padmalaya Studios of Krishna for good 5-6 years did produce movies, majorly remakes in Hindi but they stopped such projects in 90's when Krishna as a hero started suffering decline in form, market value.
Geetha Arts, Annapurna Studios did try to continue in Hindi after Shiva, Aaj ka Gonda Raj but they decided to stay away after those films as they feit comfortable in Telugu more.
Raghavendra Rao, K. Murali Mohan, K. Baapayya, Bapu, Dasari Narayana Rao did make films in Hindi but they sticked to majorly remakes. Either producers from Hindi cinema who wanted same director to make the film or producers from Telugu Cinema like Padmalaya Studios used to take them there.
Prasad Art Pictures later transformed into Prasad Productions, owner legendary LV Prasad also used to remake Telugu or Tamil films in Hindi with original directors but he never produced films in Telugu after 70's.
So, a Telugu producer with another producer trying to find a way to remake a hit film from Telugu, in Hindi or other languages is rare. Karan Johar has become a gateway for many due to Baahubali but his conditions did become too unrealistic.
Geetha Arts did remake of Ghajini which opened the 100 crores club but then again they decided to concentrate more locally and did not try till date.
So, in a way to challenge Karan Johar's monopoly, they decided to enter Hindi again with remakes and if successful direct productions.
Dil Raju who is looking to take his production house into other languages also joined Geetha and Sithara Entertainments, for remaking Nani's Jersey with same director, Gautham Tinnanuri.
Karan asked the rights for a lower price and even offered no further compensation to them, in case of film becoming a success, it seems.
Hence, Jersey becoming a success in Hindi, will give a boost to other Telugu producers to enter different languages, which will improve their exposure, banner value and if lucky, will deepen their pockets too!
