DSP Slams Turkish Singer for Copying Oo Antava

What started as a bold, seductive chartbuster in 2021 has now resurfaced, this time, as the center of a cross-border musical controversy. Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava, the fiery number from Pushpa: The Rise, isn’t just back in conversation for its original charm. Music composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has called out Turkish pop artist Atiye, claiming her song Anlayana is a clear rip-off of his original creation.
At a recent public appearance, DSP didn’t hold back. While visibly irked, he also acknowledged the song’s surprising global influence. “They didn’t even try to tweak it much—it’s almost the same song,” he said. Though flattered by its international reach, he hinted at legal action, stating, “I’m seriously considering filing a case.” DSP’s comments have reignited debate about cultural ownership and artistic credit, especially in an era where music travels faster than ever.
Online, Indian fans were quick to call out the duplication. A viral post compared both tracks, noting not just musical similarities but near-identical structure. This isn't the first time Turkish pop has been accused of lifting Indian tunes, but the stakes feel different when the original is as iconic as Oo Antava—a track that turned heads with Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s bold reinvention on-screen and Allu Arjun’s magnetic presence.
