As Of June 23,mumbai's Civic Body Collected Rs 58 Crore As Fine From Violators

Maharashtra is the severely hit state in India, in terms of Covid spread. As a result, the government had imposed strict restrictions and urged the people to not let the Covid shield down. The concerned authorities were directed to collect fines from the individuals who fail to follow the guidelines.

In the form of penalty, the Mumbai civic body, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had collected a sum of 58,42,99,600 from the violators till the 23rd of June since the inception of Covid.

The Maharashtra government had announced the system of slapping fines against the violators, those who violate the Covid Protocol to see that people will follow the prescribed guidelines without fail.

In the past 24 hours, Maharashtra reported 9844 new cases, a slight dip compared to the other day. On Thursday, More than 10,000 cases were reported. Maharashtra has 1,24,994 active cases, while 119303 people succumbed to the virus.
