Authorities Shut Down Shamsabad Airport Fearing COVID-19

Following the deadly outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Telangana with eight positive cases tested positive in Karimnagar on a single day the Telangana government has increased the safety measures in the state.

With the passengers coming from foreign countries resulting positive for the deadly virus, the authorities have focused mainly on the Shamshabad Airport which resulted in a red alert situation.

The roads that lead to the Shamshabad airport are being closed by the authorities and the nearby areas have been vacated to see that no one hits the road. The situation appears curfew.

Only the permitted vehicles will be allowed by the airport staff and once the screening tests are completed the patients who develop positive symptoms will be shifted to the quarantine centers.

As the passengers who returned from the foreign show the positive symptoms of the deadly virus, all the foreigners will be sent to the quarantine centers at once and examinations will be done. They will be sent home only after they test negative for the tests two times. After that, they will be advised to be self-quarantine for not less than 14 days.
