TDP Candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy won Nandyal by-election with a majority of over 27,000 votes. Though Telugu Desam won the hard-fought battle, YSR Congress Candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy still got a last chance. What is it all about?

As per the EC Norms, Nandyal By-Poll Candidate's election expenditure shouldn't exceed Rs 28 lakh. For TDP, Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna are the Star Campaigners. Election Commission decided to include the expenses during the campaigning of AP CM and Hindupur MLA in Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy's Total Election Expenditure.

If the election expenditure of Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy exceeds Rs 28 lakh, A petition can be moved in the Court seeking declaration of TDP Candidate's victory as invalid. In such a scenario, Shilpa Mohan Reddy who attained second best voting percentage in Nandyal by-poll will be announced as a Winner.
